A Note from Isaac
I was raised in a Christian home my entire life. I have always been involved in music ministry in some capacity since I was 12 years old. In 2008, some unfortunate events transpired that left my family devastated and hurt. These events left me hardened and bitter toward Christians and God. It took several years of dedicated prayer from my then fiancé (now wife), Holly, and many others in my family to bring me back to faith and trust in my Savior and Father.
When Holly and I eventually found a new church home in Carlisle, I began to grow exponentially in my faith and really grasping what I value and believe. When it came time to move on from that season of life and look for something new in the beginning of 2015, God opened doors only He could open, to the family we have found at Resonate. In a time when Holly and I really needed a church family to challenge us, grow us, and welcome us, Resonate needed us.
The journey has not been easy on either Holly or myself, but we have been so refreshed and revitalized by how real the sense of family and Christ-seeking conviction is at Resonate. We are so excited to be entering into new chapters of life and growth at Resonate Community Church!
What are some of your favorite hobbies?
I enjoy spending time with my wife and our various animals. We have a German Short-haired Pointer (Remi[ngton]), German Shepherd (Zion), an indoor cat (Boo) whom we rescued our first year of marriage when we lived in Philadelphia, an outdoor farm cat (Helen), and about 20 chickens and bantam (miniature) chickens with silly names of their own. I also enjoy hiking, hunting, rock climbing, playing guitar, carpentry work, Netflix, spending time with family, and oddly, long-distance driving.
How did you get into music?
When I was 11, my older brother, Jake, brought me back a hand-made classical guitar from a missions trip in Ecuador. He taught me my first 4 chords and it just took off from there.
How many siblings do you have?
I have two older brothers, Andy and Jake. Andy and his family live in Hazelton, PA. Jake and his wife live in British Columbia (for now). Both are involved in ministry in some capacity.
What is your favorite scripture verse?
Romans 8:28 - "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Most important to me is the middle section of 'those who love Him.' Many tend to only look at the first part.
What is your favorite part about Resonate?
Tim's passion for the Word and the extreme sense of family and accountability. We love how open everyone is about their brokenness, as well.
