Nik Sarago

Pastor, Elder

My background

Nik was born and raised in Cumberland County, PA. He attended both Middlesex Elementary (Carlisle) & Sporting Hill Elementary (Mechanicsburg). He attended Good Hope Middle School for 3 years. Following middle school he went to Cumberland Valley High School for part of his freshman year before transferring to Bible Baptist School (now known as West Shore Christian Academy). Nik’s college years were spent between Harrisburg Area Community College, Palm Beach Atlantic College and Baptist Bible College (now known as Summit University). After graduating from Baptist Bible College, Nik was married to Julie. In 2002, Nik took a job as a youth pastor in Columbia City, IN.

A Note from Nik

In 2006, after serving at a church in Columbia City, IN for 3 years, I packed up my wife and two daughters and moved my family back to Pennsylvania. The original intention was to move back, work in a business my family had, and plant a church. Fast-forward 6 years to 2012, I found myself working at a different company, and God led Tim and I to start a church.

God has given me a deep desire to help others realize their need of Him. In our world of instant gratification and immense distraction, it’s so easy to forget what God has done for us. In all honesty, remembering God’s sacrifice is something I have to work hard at reminding myself of. In spite of my failings God has been so good to me.

I want to give my life to helping people, wherever they are on their spiritual journey, to take their next steps with God.

God has given us a vision to reach others with His message. This is why I am so excited to be a part of what God is doing at Resonate. Our passion is to make much of Jesus Christ by leading others to the delight and satisfaction of true life in Him. Do I constantly succeed at putting this into practice myself? Do I always remember without others reminding me? No, but what’s important is the direction I am trying to live my life in. After all, “direction not intention determines destination.”* So, what direction are you headed in? If you are searching, we are here to help.
